Sourcing Manager

About The Role As Sourcing Manager in our Home Care Procurement team, you work with innovation, business, and suppliers to coordinate and develop our next generation Philips Floor Care and Climate Care Appliances. You represent procurement in the R&D teams and are responsible for managing the total‑cost‑of‑ownership via value engineering. Driving supplier scouting and selection. Provide support and guidance to relevant procurement peers, building supply market intelligence to support business and/or market decisions. Drive idea generation and implementation to continuously improve the profitability of our products.

The Impact You’ll Make

Own the sourcing process, including supplier selection and early supplier involvement for new product development.

Optimize the Total Cost of Ownership throughout the product lifecycle by driving DfX value engineering activities and initiating lean programs.

Support bid evaluations and negotiations to ensure the best value for the company.

Collaborate with project team members and other stakeholders, representing Procurement in projects.

Ensure procurement related risks are controlled and mitigated throughout the product lifecycle.

Manage Supplier performance indicators and enhance them with cross‑functional stakeholder feedback.

Perform data mining from various platforms and use analytic tools to translate data into actionable procurement business insights.

The Skills And Knowledge You’ll Bring

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or local equivalent) in technical studies or Supply Chain Management.

5 to 10 years of experience in Procurement, with an additional 3 to 5 years of experience in related disciplines such as fast‑moving consumer goods, project management, engineering, or supply chain management.

Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Expertise in Engineering, Design for Excellence (DfX), and other optimization tools.

Strong negotiation skills and supplier management skills.

Self‑driven, fast learning capability, willing to embrace changes and challenge status quo.

Proactive, data‑driven, and analytical thinking with knowledge of Power BI, SAP, Excel, and proficiency in translating data into business insight.

Affinity with home care products, internet‑of‑things and small domestic appliances.

Proficiency in other languages such as Turkish and Chinese is an advantage.
