Senior Project Manager IT in EPC Energy projects We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the procurement and implementation of a new enterprise application within a large-scale construction project. This application will integrate with multiple existing on-premise and cloud systems and support complex data and information flows among numerous stakeholders.

This is not just an IT project—it involves business process transformation, stakeholder engagement and organisational change across multiple internal departments and external partners (designers, construction contractors, suppliers). The successful candidate will manage a high-profile, multi-million-euro initiative with significant impact on operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership: Own the end-to-end delivery of the enterprise application implementation using PRINCE2 or APM methodologies.

Planning & Governance: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets and schedules; report progress to the Project Board.

Stakeholder Management: Engage and align 6+ internal departments, external vendors, subcontractors and suppliers; manage competing priorities and change requests.

Process Analysis & Change: Ensure current and future business processes are documented; validate requirements and align with application capabilities.

Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and business risks.

Vendor Coordination: Act as primary liaison with external application vendor and internal IT teams (6+ systems impacted).

Training & Communication: Oversee user training, change management and communication plans.

Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet agreed standards, timelines, benefits and budget constraints.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Proven Track Record: Minimum 8 years in IT project management, with at least 3 large-scale enterprise application implementations.

Methodologies: PRINCE2 Practitioner or APM PMQ (or equivalent).

Complex Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to manage projects with multiple internal/external stakeholders and vendors.

Integration Expertise: Experience with projects involving system interfaces between on-premise and cloud applications.

Organizational Change: Strong background in business process re-engineering and change management.

Budget & Risk Management: Skilled in managing multi-million budgets and complex risk landscapes.

Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to produce clear reports and presentations for senior leadership.

Tools: Proficiency in MS Project (or equivalent), collaboration tools and project dashboards.

EPC Sector Experience: Minimum 5+ years in EPC or capital-intensive industries such as construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, (nuclear) energy, utilities, or process industries.

CoTS Implementations: Experience implementing or working with CDE and IM platforms (e.g., Autodesk ACC, Autodesk Datum, Omega365, Asite, Hexagon, Aconex, Thinkproject) in asset-intensive environments.

Standards & Workflows: Practical experience with CDE in relation to ISO 19650 / ISO 15926, including workflows and compliance.

Engineering Data Structures: Understanding of GBS, ABS, SBS, WBS, and related engineering data frameworks.

Additional languages: Dutch and/or Spanish.

Certifications: PMP, Agile Project Management, or ITIL.

Industry Experience: Familiarity with construction or engineering environments.

Technical Knowledge: Awareness of APIs, data migration and cloud integration strategies.
