Your Position Join us at the forefront of data privacy and AI ethics in logistics automation! As a Data Privacy & AI Governance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding personal data and ensuring responsible AI use across Vanderlande’s global operations.

You will support our Data Privacy Lead in designing and implementing an enhanced privacy compliance framework and take ownership of AI governance and emerging technology compliance.

This role combines regulatory expertise with forward‑looking innovation, offering you the chance to define global standards for data privacy and AI ethics in a fast‑growing, technology‑driven environment. Your Responsibilities Data Privacy Governance

Support the design and rollout of Vanderlande’s global data privacy framework post‑integration.

Ensure compliance with GDPR and other global privacy regulations such as CCPA, APPI, PIPL and PIPA.

Maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and conduct privacy and AI risk assessments, including DPIAs, LIAs, TIAs and FRIAs.

Support supplier data privacy compliance by conducting processor data privacy checks including TOMs and DPAs.

AI Governance & Data Ethics

Develop and implement AI governance policies aligned with the EU AI Act and global ethical standards.

Establish risk assessment methodologies for AI systems, focusing on transparency, fairness, and accountability.

Monitor emerging regulations in AI, data ethics, and technology compliance.

Policy & Risk Management

Draft and maintain global privacy and AI governance policies, procedures, and standards.

Identify and mitigate risks related to data processing and AI deployment.

Drive awareness campaigns and training programs on privacy and AI ethics for employees and leadership.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with business domains, technology, and other key functions such as Legal & Compliance, IT, HR, R&D and Information Security teams to embed privacy and AI governance into business processes.

Review and advise on data privacy and AI compliance requirements in customer contracts and tenders.

Technology & Tools

Support implementation and optimization of privacy and AI governance tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Microsoft Purview).

Ensure data compliance, integrity, traceability, and auditability of privacy‑related records.

What do we ask from you? Education

Master’s degree or equivalent experience in law, data privacy, information governance, or technology compliance.

Experience

Strong understanding of global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and awareness of emerging AI governance frameworks and regulations (such as the EU AI Act), preferably in a multinational or technology‑driven environment.

5+ years in data privacy, compliance, or technology governance roles.

Experience interpreting regulatory or contractual requirements is highly desirable.

Familiarity with Information Security Governance Frameworks (ISO 27001 and ISO 27011), AI governance frameworks (ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF) and Cybersecurity laws (NIS2, CRA) is a plus.

Skills

Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to influence and collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.

Experience with privacy and data governance tools preferred.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4 747 to € 6 443 gross per month (excluding 8 % holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
