Tax Manager - Aroundtown - Amsterdam

The Dutch office in Amsterdam has been founded in 2016 and has experienced an explosive growth over the past years. The team consists of employees with different nationalities. The employees are managing the assets from A to Z, which means that they carry out the financial, administrative, technical and commercial management of the portfolio themselves. The team is divided in business units: Asset and Property Management, Technical Management (and Service Desk), Development, Finance, Legal and Tax.
For Aroundtown we are currently recruiting a Tax Manager for the Amsterdam office. We are seeking a Tax Manager with at least 6 years of work experience in a
tax compliance or tax advisory practice or as an in-house tax compliance or tax specialist
working for an international company.
You must be fluent in Dutch.
It is a broad tax manager role with a focus on the Netherlands and with interesting projects. You will have a lot of freedom and independence and you will get the opportunity to learn on the job and grow. You will be a member of the international tax team with a direct report to the Head of Tax who is working in the Dutch office and partially in Germany. The company facilitates a good working environment in a very pleasant and spacious office in Amsterdam. You can work one day from home when you work full time.
Main tasks & responsibilities - Tax Manager
Coordinate, review and/or prepare corporate income tax returns of the Dutch group companies.
Monitor on-going tax matters of the groups’ Dutch operations and liaise with the Head of Tax and external tax advisors.
Manage relationships with external tax consultants / service providers and the tax authorities.
Maintain the Dutch transfer pricing documentation/Local Files of the group.
Review tax accounting prepared by your Finance colleagues. Manage the preparation of VAT returns.
Your profile - Tax Manager
Relevant degree in tax and at least 6 years of relevant work experience obtained as a tax compliance specialist, tax advisor or in-house tax (compliance) specialist.
Experience with Dutch corporate income tax is a must, experience with real estate is a plus but no must.
Experience with the preparation of Dutch corporate income tax returns.
Willing to learn on the job about (international) tax issues, specific VAT regulations and real estate transfer tax issues.
Very good with numbers, organized, pro-active, hands-on, practical, result orientated.
Team-player, a Tax Manager with good communication skills.
Fluent in Dutch and good in English.
