What Youโll Do
In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination, and execution of the operational activities of the internal logistics organization. You will ensure a very safe workplace for the staff, lead by example on the floor, and act as the first contact to troubleshoot and support in system and process issues. Lean manufacturing is central to this responsibility, as is capacity planning for your staff of approximately 15 logistic operators and administrators. These team members ensure our assembly line is supplied with the right products at the right moments and that our inventory and warehouse processes are seamlessly integrated into our assembly line.
Furthermore, youโll be responsible for:
Setting up short and mid-term staffing plans and monitoring continuity to ensure smooth operations
Addressing problems, discussing them with involved parties, and solving them efficiently using modern methods
Educating and training admin staff to improve processes and ways of working
Maintaining vigilance for critical situations in the factory and upholding Health and Safety standards at industry levels, with zero incidents as the main goal
Coaching and motivating your team to achieve set goals and targets
Identifying improvements, translating them into efficient proposals, and implementing them using LEAN manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S; participating in 8Ds where applicable
Managing the annual Human Resource cycles of Canon, including setting tasks, conducting development talks, and performing year-end performance reviews for each individual
Collaborating with other Operations Supervisors to discuss new team members and organize appropriate staffing levels for manufacturing and logistics orders
The location is based in Venlo, and you will report directly to the SCM manager inbound.

What You Bring
Bachelorโs degree, preferably in supply chain or a technical direction
Approximately 5 years of experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position in a warehouse or production role
Strong leadership skills
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience with SAP (WM/MM) processes
Experience working with and acting on Key Performance Indicators
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English
Full-time (40 hours) availability on site
