European Product Data Manager at Unilever

We are looking for a European Product Data Manager to join our team, working in a European data environment supporting SAP, PIM, GDS and EPDM ecosystems. The Role As European Product Data Manager, you are responsible for driving data quality, governance and reporting capabilities across SAP, PIM and EPDM systems. You act as the key data partner for markets and internal teams, ensuring product data integrity and enabling reliable analytics and business readiness. You will combine hands-on technical development with stakeholder management and governance leadership. From designing scalable back-end architectures to facilitating cross-market alignment sessions, you ensure that data solutions are robust, scalable and business-aligned.

Key Responsibilities Data Engineering & Architecture Design and optimize scalable back-end architectures in Databricks for SAP Data Quality dashboards Develop data models, SQL frameworks and source-to-target mappings Integrate and orchestrate pipelines via Azure Data Factory Continuously refine validation logic in line with evolving business needs Business Intelligence & Reporting Build end-to-end Power BI dashboards including data modeling, DAX, KPI development and visualization Lead back-end restructuring and front-end redesign initiatives Align EPDM reporting structures with SAP Data Quality BI standards Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency and user adoption Automation & Process Optimization Translate business requirements into automated workflows using Power Automate Assess feasibility, design mock-ups and iterate solutions in development cycles Improve operational efficiency through automation and process standardization Data Governance & Quality Oversight Safeguard data integrity and lineage across SAP, PIM, GDS and EPDM datasets Develop validation frameworks and asset-level quality rules Facilitate governance discussions with European markets to define cross-market KPIs Ensure consistent data models and manage system dependencies Stakeholder & Change Management Lead weekly PIM/GDS roll-out and gap-identification sessions Track and manage Change Request progression to ensure timely delivery Act as a sparring partner for business and technical teams Translate complex data topics into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders

Key Requirements Must-Have Strong experience in data engineering and business intelligence (Databricks, SQL, Power BI, DAX) Experience with Azure Data Factory (data orchestration and integration) Solid understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks Experience working within SAP and/or PIM ecosystems Proven experience in cross-system data integration projects Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills Ability to structure complex data topics into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement Comfortable working in a cross-market, international environment Nice to Have Experience with Power Automate and workflow automation Experience in FMCG or product-based organizations Experience in broader automation or digital transformation initiatives Experience working in highly regulated or compliance-driven environments Advanced knowledge of multi-market governance structures
