Are you able to shape and drive a global procurement strategy in a growing, project-driven organization while also stepping in when projects require hands-on support? Roll Group is looking for a Global Head of Procurement who can strengthen procurement across the group. You will play a key role in how we manage suppliers, negotiate contracts and support complex international projects. Roll Group is growing and developing. The Global Head of Procurement sets direction and standards and supports projects and sourcing decisions when needed. The Global Head of Procurement is part of the Leadership Team. This position is based at our office in Capelle aan den IJssel.

On the land side, Roll Group operates a large number of modern heavy-lift cranes with capacities of up to 4,000 tonnes, Self-Propelled Modular Trailers (SPMTs) and conventional trailers. Position
The Global Head of Procurement is accountable for the group-wide procurement strategy, governance and standards. You ensure effective and efficient procurement of products and services that support operational and commercial objectives, balancing quality, price and delivery performance.
You oversee contract management and supplier relationships and drive improvements in procurement processes and policies. As owner of the group procurement framework, you ensure alignment and compliance across all regions.
You guide and support the Senior Procurement Specialist and provide functional leadership and indirect management to procurement-related employees in other regions to ensure consistent ways of working.
Your responsibilities include:
Developing, maintaining and enforcing procurement strategies across all regions.
Leading, coaching and supporting the Senior Procurement Specialist.
Establishing contracting principles and negotiation guardrails.
Approving contractual frameworks and managing contract deviations and escalations.
Building and maintaining strategic supplier relationships and monitoring performance.
Acting as a business partner to management and project teams.
Leading high-impact sourcing events, RFx processes and strategic negotiations.
Defining and monitoring procurement KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
Overseeing procurement systems (ERP, SRM, e-sourcing) and ensuring data integrity.
Identifying, assessing and mitigating procurement risks.
Your qualifications
To excel in this role, you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree in (Technical) Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics or Commercial Law.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in strategic or tactical procurement, ideally in a technical or project-based environment.
A professional procurement qualification (e.g. NEVI) is considered an advantage but not required.
Experience with setting up world-wide policies, procedures and systems.
Leadership experience and the ability to coach team members.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably in a project organization.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Structured, pragmatic and business-driven working style.
Fluent in English (verbal and written).
Willingness to travel abroad.

Our selection process
