Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an Analytical Development/Quality Control Chemist to join our team in Lelystad (The Netherlands). The main responsibilities of an AD/QC Chemist-Technician are to carry out analytical testing, documentation and reporting. The AD/QC Chemist-Technician is required participate in method development, validation, and to participate in research projects and GMP analysis. All AD/QC Chemists-Technicians are expected to actively be involved in housekeeping of the labs including supporting maintenance of testing infrastructure.
Role and Responsibilities
Participation in development and validation of analytical procedures for the analysis of raw materials and drug substances
Performing instrumental analysis for method development
Carry out R&D and GMP-compliant analytical testing
Sampling and testing of chemicals (raw materials) and instrumental techniques
Ensuring samples and products are handled appropriately according to standard operating procedures and work instructions
Assist the other members of the QC team with SOP review
Manage the necessary documentation as required by standard operating procedures
Requirements
HBO/HLO/BSc or higher degree in Chemistry ( desirable Analytical or Organic ), Pharmacy, or related. Or appropriate vocational training plus 3 years of experience in a laboratory (experience in industrial working conditions is a plus)
Experience with analytical techniques: GC, LC and MS (peptides is a plus)
GMP knowledge/experience
Strong analytical interpretation skills
General technical knowledge in analytical instrumentation (hand-on experience with troubleshooting is a plus)
Intermediate to good English
Well organized and keen to learn
Ability to work independently in a structured manner
Team player especially concerning work and lab organisation
Good communication skills
Can handle peaks of workload
