About the Role
As a
Microbiology Technician , you will play a key role in a selfโmanaging laboratory team, performing microbiological tests and supporting projects. The position involves working under GMP/GLP standards, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating on aseptic manufacturing and environmental monitoring projects.
Responsibilities
Perform rapid microbiological identifications and typing using MaldiTOF, MicroSEQย 16S PCR, FTโIR biotyper, MLST.
Validate new microbiological tests and technologies.
Work in compliance with GMP/GLP and EHS guidelines.
Support problemโsolving using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
Maintain laboratory operations, including inventory, waste coordination, equipment maintenance, SOP writing, and archiving.
Assist with deviations, changes, and audits within the department.
Requirements
Completed MLO education in Microbiology.
1โ3 years of experience in a microbiological laboratory; pharmaceutical experience is a plus.
Familiarity with MaldiTOF and PCRย 16S identification systems (preferred).
Experience in test validation (preferred).
Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
Ability to work independently and in a selfโdirected team.

Other Information
Vaccinations required for certain tests.
Work involves wearing PPE, handling microorganisms, and occasional repetitive tasks.
Flexible working hours from 32 to 40 hours per week.
