For our innovative Advanced Packaging team, we are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer. this role, you will be instrumental in designing next-generation Advanced Packaging machines. Your expertise will contribute significantly to developing machine concepts that satisfy demanding customer requirements. As part of a growing team, you will initially focus on individual contributions, with opportunities to mentor and lead as the project evolves. Key Responsibilities: Develop innovative mechanical concepts for new Advanced Packaging machines in collaboration with domain experts Collaborate with external high-tech partners and in-house teams in Singapore and Hong Kong to create optimal machine designs Perform calculations and advanced simulations, including FEM, stiffness calculations, and eigenfrequencies Design and realize the mechanical concept, defining functional modules and prototype realization Ensure compliance with ISO 3 cleanroom requirements and assist in patent applications when applicable Test and integrate prototypes, demonstrating full performance of the new concept during production series Coach, mentor, and supervise junior colleagues as the team expands Occasional international travel to collaborate with product development centres in Asia and development partners in Europe THIS IS YOU Master's degree in Mechanical Design; a PhD or PDEng in Mechanics is a plus 5+ years of experience in high-tech machine development, preferably in the semiconductor domain A multidisciplinary approach, open-mindedness, and strong communication skills An expert in your domain while effectively collaborating with experts from other fields Strong leadership qualities and a commitment to developing junior team members A proactive mindset in overcoming challenges on conflicting demands of machine accuracy and machine throughput Fluent in English; speaking Dutch is a plus WE OFFER A full-time position (32 - 40 hours per week) at an international, high-tech company focused on cutting-edge engineering and manufacturing solutions A market conform salary, depending on your knowledge and experience Excellent employee benefits including a premium pension scheme, travel allowance, and more Opportunities for personal and professional growth through training and development programs A lively work environment with friendly colleagues and exciting projects.
