About the Role
As
Manager Manufacturing Engineering , you will lead the
Manufacturing Engineering
and
QHSE
(Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) teams. You are responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality and safety, driving innovation, and supporting the transition toward a prototype factory.
This role requires an experienced leader capable of scaling teams, driving transformation, and motivating people through change. You will play a key role in building an efficient, flexible, and future-proof production environment.
Must Haves
Experience in a management role
with direct leadership of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering teams, including scaling the Industrial team (from 2 to 4 FTE) and guiding the downsizing of the Manufacturing team toward a prototype factory environment.
Proven experience in change management
and successfully holding a similar role, preferably in a prototype or high-tech manufacturing environment, including experience with remote working.
Strong people manager
with a motivating and coaching leadership style, capable of guiding teams effectively through change and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Engineering
Develop, optimize, and implement production processes to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
Lead equipment and technology management, including integration of advanced tools and automation.
Apply lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Collaborate with R&D, product development, production, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability, scalability, and optimal lead times.
QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment)
Manage quality and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Promote workplace safety and health through policies, training, and risk assessments.
Lead initiatives for environmentally friendly and sustainable production processes.
Prepare for and oversee audits and regulatory compliance.
Leadership and Team Development
Coach, develop, and motivate teams, fostering personal growth and future leaders.
Drive continuous improvement and create a culture centered on quality, safety, and innovation.
Translate strategic goals into measurable outcomes and operational KPIs.
Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field (MBA or Master’s in Engineering preferred).
7–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, including leadership roles.
Certifications such as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, CQE, or ISO 45001/OHSAS are a plus.
Comfortable working in both office and factory environments; willing to travel occasionally.
