We are hiring an
HR Advisor
for an international retail organisation with HQ in Amsterdam.
This is a hands-on
Employee Relations
role supporting both corporate and retail teams across the Netherlands.
What you’ll do
As HR Advisor, you will:
Manage
employee relations casework
(disciplinary, grievance, misconduct, conflicts)
Handle
long-term sickness and absence management
Advise managers on
Dutch employment law (arbeidsrecht) and CLA compliance
Coach stakeholders through investigations and formal procedures
Ensure accurate HR documentation (GDPR compliant)
Support
month-end and annual HR processes
Work closely with Occupational Health providers
Travel to retail locations across the Netherlands (approx. once per week)
This role requires someone comfortable managing high-volume, complex ER cases independently.
Your profile
Several years’ experience as
HR Advisor / Employee Relations Advisor
Strong knowledge of
Dutch labour law
Experience in retail, logistics or another operational / fast-paced environment
Confident advising and influencing managers
Experience with HR systems (AFAS, Workday, Dayforce or similar)
Strong Excel skills (HR reporting, absenteeism, turnover dashboards)
Fluent in English
