Project Director

to join our leadership team. Reporting to the Regional Director/BU MD, the Project Director will take full ownership of projects typically valued

£60m+ , leading them from pre‑construction through to handover and post‑completion support. This is a senior, strategic role offering significant influence, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape landmark projects across Europe. What You’ll Be Doing

Lead multidisciplinary tender teams (Estimating, CM, QS, Consultants) to secure major projects. Manage tender production, ensuring competitive, compliant submissions. Develop programme, method statements, prelims and full tender documentation. Chair internal start‑up meetings and establish procurement strategies. Prepare risk registers and drive mitigation plans. Oversee early supply chain prequalification and preliminary procurement schedules. Set Health, Safety & Environmental strategies for project outset. Define and implement design strategy including BIM, DRM and novation scope. Agree resource plans and coordinate site logistics and statutory requirements. Construction Delivery & Leadership

Lead contract start-up and manage preparation of the PEP. Manage contract documentation, quality, environment, progress and compliance. Oversee major subcontractor selection, vetting and performance. Chair internal and subcontractor meetings, maintaining high performance standards. Monitor programme progress, cost, risk and reporting across the entire project lifecycle. Ensure robust financial oversight—CVRs, cost meetings, risk reviews, and final accounts. Champion Zero Incidents & Zero Injuries across all activities. Mentor and develop the entire project team, ensuring cohesion aligned with company values. Drive client and stakeholder relationships, identifying opportunities for future work. Ensure a seamless customer‑focused aftercare service. Support commissioning, final accounts, and any loss & expense applications. Compile project data sheets and secure client references. Manage defects resolution and gain Making Good Defects certification. Strengthen long‑term client relationships, ensuring future business potential. About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Academic and/or professional management qualification. Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. MCIOB, CEng MICE). Strong experience delivering major projects (£60m+), ideally in complex, multi‑disciplinary environments. Deep understanding of CVRs, PEPs, contract management, risk and commercial strategy. Training such as IOSH for Directors, CDM/PSCS awareness, BBS, Root Cause Analysis, S5 & Q10 workshops. NEBOSH Certificate Experience working across international or multi‑regional projects.
