Junior Treasury Assistant

Location: Schiedam (Rotterdam region)

At Mammoet, we are looking for a Junior Treasury Assistant to join our centralized Treasury team in Schiedam. In this role, you will report directly to our Head of Treasury and become part of a compact, highly specialized team responsible for managing Mammoet’s global liquidity, financing and financial risk activities.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING As a Junior Treasury Assistant, you will support the Treasury team in daily operations while progressively taking on more responsibility. Over time, you will grow into a role with increasing involvement in operational treasury management.

Support the daily management of cash positions across group entities, including oversight and operational management of bank account structures and cash pooling arrangements

Contribute to the preparation of treasury reports (monthly and ad hoc)

Assist in preparing short-, medium- and long‑term cash flow forecasts

Support the structuring of intercompany financing and maintain related documentation and internal overviews in line with treasury and tax policies

Contribute to ensuring treasury operations comply with internal policies and external regulations imposed by governments, central banks and financial institutions

Monitor foreign exchange exposure and support the execution and documentation of hedging activities

Support bank relationship management and interaction with financial institutions

Throughout the role, you will work closely with Finance, Legal and Tax colleagues and gain exposure to financing structures, liquidity management, regulatory compliance and international treasury operations

This position will provide a strong operational treasury foundation and progressively prepare you to take on broader responsibilities as the function continues to evolve.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

University degree (WO level) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field

0–2 years of experience (internships count)

Strong analytical mindset and affinity with numbers

Interest in understanding how large international organizations manage their finances

Strong communication skills and confidence in an international environment

Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)

You are curious, structured and proactive. You like understanding how things work and you’re not afraid to ask questions.
