Power BI Developer

BI Developer (Freelance) Amsterdam, The Netherlands 6 month contract

This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced consumer business during a critical period of transformation. You will step into an influential BI Developer role, supporting a major rebuild of international sales reporting while key team members are on leave. If you enjoy end-to-end ownership, stakeholder engagement, and delivering high-impact BI solutions, this role offers immediate responsibility and meaningful work from day one.

The Company They are an established consumer brand operating across Europe and the US, with a strong focus on data-driven decision making. Their data function is going through an important phase, with a need to reshape and modernise reporting for commercial teams. You will join a small, collaborative BI and Data Engineering team that plays a central role in delivering insights across the organization.

The Role • Lead end-to-end development of sales reporting across international markets. • Work closely with commercial stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into high-value BI solutions. • Deliver data modelling, report development, and ETL enhancements within a Microsoft Azure environment. • Support stakeholder communication and project ownership during team leave periods. • Collaborate with a BI Developer and Data Engineer to ensure high-quality ingestion, modelling, and reporting outputs.

Your Skills and Experience You will bring: • Strong commercial experience in end-to-end BI development within FMCG or retail environments. • Expertise working with sales data, reporting, and performance insights. • Hands-on skills in Azure, Analysis Services, Power BI, and ETL development. • Ability to gather requirements, challenge assumptions, and deliver solutions that drive business value. • Confident stakeholder management and communication skills.
