Software Test Architect

For a high‑tech manufacturer of advanced industrial systems, we’re seeking a Software Test Architect. You will define the test strategy and test architecture for precision measurement and configuration software used in complex mechatronic equipment. The scope is end‑to‑end: concept through release, blending system‑level thinking with a hands‑on approach.

What you will do Develop and evolve the test strategy focused on coverage, risk, and efficiency. Define the test architecture and embed testability‑by‑design with software, hardware, and systems architects. Create and maintain test plans, test specifications, and validation strategies. Map coverage versus requirements and code; surface gaps early and mitigate risks. Translate system requirements into structured manual and automated test cases. Perform root cause analysis for issues found in production and in the field. Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Definition of Done discussions.

What you bring 7+ years as a (senior) software test engineer or software test architect for complex machine control or high‑tech equipment. Proven ability to build end‑to‑end product understanding and drive risk‑based coverage. Experience selecting the right mix of unit / component / system / HIL, including simulation and mocking. Practical experience with C# and Python for automation and/or simulation. Structured testing mindset (e.g., ISTQB principles or equivalent).

Nice to have Experience with Jira and test management plugins (e.g., Xray, Zephyr). Exposure to industrial automation or complex mechatronic systems.
