Assistant Financial Controller

Assistant Financial Controller

who can help us further professionalize the organization and prepare it for our future in Europe!

The role:

As an Assistant Financial Controller, you support the financial administration and reporting of multiple private limited companies (BVs) within an international environment. You actively contribute to reliable management information, VAT returns, and the further professionalisation of reporting using Power BI and Excel.

Your responsibilities: Maintain and review financial administrations for multiple BVs; Support month-end and year-end closing processes; Prepare and submit VAT returns (national and international); Prepare and improve financial reports; Analyse financial data in Excel; Support international accounting processes (intercompany, foreign currencies, consolidation; Assist with project administration.

You report directly to the Finance Manager. This is a position for 32 to 40 hours per week, based at our office in Utrecht. Occasional remote working is possible in consultation.

You are analytical and detail-oriented, proactive and eager to learn, and at the beginning of your career (first or second job) with the ambition to further develop yourself within finance. With a hands-on mentality and strong eagerness to learn, you quickly feel at home in an international working environment and actively contribute to further professionalisation and reliable financial management.

In addition, you have:

HBO level of working and thinking (Bachelor’s degree level), in a relevant field such as Accountancy or Finance & Control; 1–2 years of relevant work experience or substantial internship experience; A proactive mindset and strong communication skills; Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken; Knowledge of Excel, AFAS and Power BI (preferred).
