GenAI Engineer

Next Ventures is currently working with a leading Dutch financial institution has recently completed the implementation of

Databricks

as its strategic data platform. They're now aiming to create a GenAi model to achieve faster processing times, reduced operational cost, better employee productivity.

For this we are looking for 2 GenAI Engineers / Data scientists

Below are some of the intended uses for the Model: GenAI-powered document summarisation (credit files, policies) Automated regulatory reporting support Internal knowledge assistants Case-handling copilots for operations teams

Details 12-month contract initially (possible extensions) Hybrid working model 2x / week in Amsterdam

Responsibilities Develop and deploy scalable machine learning models Translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions Work with large datasets using distributed data processing (PySpark) Contribute to MLOps, model governance, and lifecycle management Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders Improve reproducibility, documentation, and model performance standards

Requirements 3+ years of experience in Data Science or Advanced Analytics Strong Python skills (experience with PySpark preferred) Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, MLflow, TensorFlow) Experience working in cloud-based data platforms (Databricks preferred) Strong stakeholder communication skills Financial services experience is a plus Dutch language is also a plus
