Senior PMO Lead

As Senior PMO Lead, you will operate at the strategic core of a high-profile business transformation programme. This is not an administrative PMO position — it is a leadership role requiring authority, executive presence, and the confidence to challenge constructively at C-suite level.

You will work directly with the CIO, CFO, COO and Programme Sponsor to bring structure, transparency, and control to a complex transformation landscape consisting of multiple workstreams and cross-functional dependencies. Acting as the linchpin between programme leadership, delivery teams and executive stakeholders, you will ensure decision-making is driven by accurate data, structured governance and clear insights. In a fast-paced environment characterised by ambiguity and competing priorities, you bring clarity, analytical depth and strategic oversight. You translate complex programme data into concise, high-impact board-level reporting and ensure measurable progress across the transformation portfolio.

It is currently undergoing a broad business and digital transformation aimed at strengthening governance, optimising processes and modernising its operating model. The transformation programme spans multiple domains and includes technology enablement, organisational change and performance optimisation. The environment is ambitious, performance-driven and highly dynamic, with executive-level visibility and strong expectations around measurable outcomes and delivery control.

Deliverables: Design and strengthen a robust programme governance framework aligned with corporate transformation objectives. Develop executive-level dashboards and decision packs using Power BI. Establish and maintain structured RAID management and interdependency tracking across workstreams. Implement advanced reporting mechanisms through Power BI and Smartsheet. Prepare and facilitate executive steering committees, ensuring data-driven decision support. Drive continuous improvement of PMO processes, embedding agile governance principles where appropriate. Configure advanced Smartsheet workflows and automation to streamline programme control. Deliver measurable performance improvements (e.g. 15–20% efficiency gains, budget control within ±5% variance). Integrate structured change management principles into programme delivery to ensure adoption and sustainability.

Job requirements 10–12+ years of experience in PMO or programme management, with at least 5 years in senior PMO leadership roles within large-scale transformation programmes. Proven experience in complex, international, multi-workstream environments. Deep expertise in PMO frameworks, governance packs, RAID management and portfolio control. Advanced Power BI capabilities (data modelling, KPI visualisation, executive dashboards). Strong experience with Smartsheet (workflow automation, dashboarding, dependency management). Strong analytical and commercial acumen; able to translate large, complex datasets into strategic insights. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma or similar). Solid understanding of change management and business readiness practices. Experience within technology-enabled transformation programmes (ERP, CRM, supply chain digitisation) is advantageous. Experience in transaction-related integration or separation programmes (M&A context) is an advantage. AI-savvy: able to leverage data-driven insights and AI-supported reporting/automation to enhance PMO effectiveness. Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills, comfortable operating at C-suite level.
