Lead Platform Engineer

Technical Lead Compute platform | Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes | Mission critical infrastructure for global supply chain | Dutch b2 level required | 115k OTE

How would you feel about stepping into a role where you shape the future of an existing platform team, further develop a stable group of Platform Engineers, and introduce new tooling?

In this position, you would take the technical lead for the Cloud Fundamentals domain, which includes the networking & connectivity team and the core compute & Kubernetes team. The environment is hybrid cloud, with a strong focus on Azure, supporting complex, mission-critical distributed applications.

This is a critical domain in the Netherlands, serving more than 2 million stakeholders. You will work in a cross-domain setup alongside JVM developers, React developers, another platform team, and report directly to Engineering Management.

Some of the initiatives you would be involved in: Rollout of edge devices Building a new self-service platform based on azure and Kubernetes Reducing external dependencies and building a strong internal team Knowledge sharing, technical mentorship, and strengthening the platform engineering culture

You'll bring: 7+ years of Cloud Engineering experience 3+ years of Kubernetes, Azure and Pipelines knowledge Strong understanding of Platform Engineering principles Fluency in Dutch (b2 minimum)
