The position
As a Scientist in iPSC manufacturing and drug discovery services, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing differentiation processes and analytical methods to advance iPSC-derived drug discovery. You will play a key role in executing and managing projects, contributing to scientific innovation, and working collaboratively across teams. Your expertise in iPSC culture and differentiation, molecular biology, and assay development will be essential to advancing our manufacturing and drug discovery programs.

Responsibilities
Design and optimize differentiation strategies for iPSC-derived manufacturing
Develop and validate analytical methods to characterize differentiated cell products
Execute research projects, analyze data, and provide scientific interpretations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
Stay updated on the latest scientific advancements in iPSC technology and drug discovery
Contribute to scientific publications, presentations, and internal knowledge sharing
Draft and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Assess effects of putative therapeutics (small molecules, antibodies, siRNA/shRNA, antisense oligonucleotides, AAV) and analyze obtained data independently
Collect, record and report data accurately following standard operation procedures
Communicate routinely with team members to facilitate discussion on progress as well as possible challenges and opportunities
Qualifications
Ph.D. or M.Sc. in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, or a related field
Hands-on experience with iPSC culture and differentiation techniques
Strong background in stem cell and cell culture
Experience with assay development and analytical method validation
Excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills
Experience in a Life Sciences/Biotech company or CRO
Experience with complex in vitro biology, such as stem cells and 3D/organoid culturing is preferred
Familiarity with the following techniques: aseptic in vitro cell culture, cell-based assays, tissue engineering and organoid formation, flow cytometry, high-content imaging, luminescence/fluorescence/absorbance assays, metabolic assays, electrophysiology, calcium-imaging, laboratory automation
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Additional experience of value:
Experience in gene editing techniques
Experience in the use of bioreactors
Knowledge of bioprocessing and scalable differentiation strategies
