Asset Management Fleet
Within the Fleet department, the Vessels team is responsible for maintaining 16 operational vessels. These include incident response vessels, patrol vessels, a RHIB, survey vessels, and a representative vessel. The department is also responsible for supplying all safety and operational equipment required for safe working. Critical inventory is essential to keep the fleet afloat. Maintaining an up-to-date warehouse and ensuring adequate inventory management are also part of the AM Fleet department's responsibilities.
Job Description :
Within the Asset Management Fleet department of the Port of Rotterdam Authority, we are looking for an Asset Manager with a strong focus on purchasing strategic and critical components, contract monitoring, and warehouse management with a focus on circularity. Asset Management Fleet provides the organization with vessels, safety equipment, workwear, and various consumables. You will ensure that these resources are available on time and in adequate quantities, allowing both operational and support services to function optimally. In this role, you will be the link between technology, logistics, and suppliers. You are responsible for keeping all underlying information and documentation up to date, so that processes run smoothly and decisions are well-founded.
You will work closely with a small, dedicated team within the department, providing advice both solicited and unsolicited. Together, you will ensure efficient warehouse processes, compliance with contractual agreements, and the timely availability of maintenance materials. You will monitor supplier performance and make adjustments where necessary to ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of the supply chain.
On-call.
You will also participate in an on-call formation, actively contributing during or in the handling of incidents and the progress of large-scale exercises. You will provide logistical support to RPA vessels and the duty officer, including the delivery of personal protective equipment, lifesaving equipment, and firefighting equipment.
Job Requirements:
The candidate has at least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
The candidate has a higher professional education (HBO) work and thinking level, preferably in logistics, supply chain management, or supplier management.
The candidate must have strong communication skills, be results-oriented, and be able to distinguish between the main issues and the secondary issues.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and contract management is a plus.
Affinity with technical environments.
Candidate is in possession of a BE and C1 driving license.
Candidate is in possession of a VCA-vol certificate or is willing to obtain this within 3 months of starting.
Candidate is willing to work on-call shifts.
