Group CFO - The Netherlands
Our client is a Dutch Headquartered,
PE backed
organisation, delivering tailored IT solutions — from custom software development to digital transformation and strategic consulting — to their clients. With significant market share within their sector, the business has undertaken a period of both organic and acquisitive growth. Enhanced by investment from one of Europe’s leading growth buy-out Funds, they are seeking a
CFO
to take the business on the next stage of growth.
Role Overview
The CFO will be a key member of the Executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO and will be tasked with scaling and developing a ‘best in class’ team and function to meet the further growth and strategic ambitions of the business over the coming years.
Financial Management and Control:
Oversee all aspects of day-to-day, operational financial management of the business.
Ensure comprehensive month end closing and reporting, including robust balance sheet control, and timely and accurate delivery of results and forecasts to the Executive Team and Board.
Present your finance and operational analysis at each Board meeting, supporting the CEO to deliver timely and accurate updates on all key areas of the business.
Maintain detailed oversight of cash position, and provide cashflow reporting, treasury considerations and working capital analyses to the Executive Board.
Budgets: define the Group’s yearly budget orientations, review and report on Budget.
Tax and Treasury:
Review and monitoring of the group’s tax position, computations and filings, ensuring compliance in all relevant jurisdictions.
Provide reporting to lenders and ensure ongoing compliance with all operational requirements under the debt agreements, supported by robust cashflow and covenant projections.
Business Support:
Provide high-quality commercial analysis and business insight, including customer & product profitability, project performance, pricing, margin control and return-on-investment analyses.
Drive ad hoc projects and business modelling to anticipate and meet market changes, as required.
Systems and Processes:
Promote the increasing use of systems, tools and automation to deliver efficient financial and business processes and enable the group’s future growth.
Lead ERP system review and implementation where necessary.
Fully integrate new acquisitions into our wider finance and operational teams.
Complete due diligence and wider modelling tasks to support our future M&A activity
Profile
Proven track record as a Group CFO within medium-sized / growth organisations, working closely with the CEO
Experience of working in B2B Services sector ideally with project-based elements
Prior experience within companies under LBO, capable of working successfully with Private Equity investors and external lenders would be ideal
Experience in acting as a driver and real agent of change within the group
Previous experience of M&A and post-acquisition integration would be an advantage.
Native Dutch speaker & fluent in English.
To be based on-site 3-4 days/week, primarily in Utrecht,.
