Technical Manager

We are working a manufacturing client within the FMCG manufacturing sector and are strengthening plant-level technical leadership ahead of operational maturity improvements and future SAP PM integration.

They require a Technical Manager (Maintenance & Projects) to join them on an interim basis with a strong preference for permanent transition. This role will focus on stabilising plant maintenance operations, implementing structured preventive maintenance, improving equipment reliability, and delivering site-level CapEx projects.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead the Technical Department, overseeing maintenance, facilities, and project teams • Implement structured preventive maintenance processes to reduce reactive breakdowns • Improve alignment between Maintenance and Production to increase machine uptime • Deliver plant-level CapEx projects including machinery installation and upgrades • Develop multi-year technical investment plans and coordinate with EU plant stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications: • Strong mechanical or industrial engineering background • Proven experience leading maintenance within a manufacturing or FMCG environment • Demonstrated success improving preventive maintenance structures • Experience delivering CapEx or industrial investment projects • Fluent Dutch language skills (mandatory)

Contract Details: • Duration: Interim (immediate start) with potential permanent transition • Onsite: 5 days per week in Heerde, Netherlands (near Zwolle) • Location-specific role with no remote option; plant-based leadership required
