We are Hiring for a highly skilled

Senior Java Software Engineer

to join our dynamic development team in Amsterdam. You will collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, and third parties to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performance technical solutions. This role requires a hands-on approach to coding, architecture, and mentoring, as well as participation in critical 24x7 application support on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and third parties to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify and correct bottlenecks, debug issues, and maintain code quality. Maintain code organization, automation, and best development practices. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers. Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and processes. Participate in 24x7 support of critical applications on a rotational basis (once every 7–8 weeks).

Requirements Diploma or degree in

Computer Science, Engineering, or related IT disciplines

(HBO/WO or equivalent). Minimum

7 years of experience

with

Java web frameworks , with experience as a Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead. Strong experience designing and implementing

web applications

and

RESTful APIs . Experience developing complex systems with critical availability requirements. Cloud development experience

(serverless and cloud-native preferred; Azure a plus). Proven track record of leading technical projects from conception to delivery. Experience with

event-driven architecture

and messaging systems like

Kafka . Strong understanding of

software design patterns and principles . Familiarity with

Github Actions, CICD pipelines, DevOps practices , and monitoring/observability tools. Basic

frontend knowledge

(Angular) and willingness to maintain frontend applications. Excellent

English communication skills , able to explain complex technical concepts.
