Overview A global digital organisation is seeking an experienced

Project / Programme Manager

to support a high-priority Tax Technology Acceleration programme. This role sits at the intersection of tax, finance and technology, driving the development of new compliance capabilities while managing fast-moving regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. This is not a governance-only PM role. The successful candidate will be a hands-on delivery leader who thrives in ambiguity, can influence without authority, and is comfortable operating across both strategic and operational workstreams.

The Programme The programme focuses on: Building future-fit tax compliance capabilities across markets Responding rapidly to new and changing tax authority requirements Improving tax operational processes and dispute resolution workflows Embedding scalable, sustainable compliance processes into BAU teams You will operate across two parallel tracks: Long-term capability build and technical implementation Reactive “firefighting” projects driven by regulatory demands

Key Responsibilities Lead multiple concurrent projects across tax, finance and technology teams Coordinate responses to tax authority requirements and compliance changes Drive resolution of tax invoice disputes and operational gaps Manage scope, risks, dependencies and stakeholder communications Facilitate workshops and clarify business requirements Establish structure and accountability across cross-functional teams Embed new processes into BAU operations Provide clear programme-level reporting to senior stakeholders

Required Experience 8–10+ years Project or Programme Management experience Strong generalist background across operations, finance and/or technology Experience delivering cross-functional transformation initiatives Comfortable leading without direct authority Proven ability to operate in ambiguity and create clarity Strong executive stakeholder engagement skills Experience improving operational or regulatory processes

Desirable Experience Exposure to tax compliance environments Experience within digital or technology-led organisations Background in regulatory-heavy industries Change management expertise Experience with structured project tracking tools (e.g. enterprise PM platforms)
