Lead Logic Design Engineer – Rambus
Join the Silicon IP team in Vught, part of the Security Business Unit, and work with leading inventors and engineers to develop products that make data faster and safer. The role reports to the Manager, Logic Design and is full‑time.
Overview
Rambus is a premier chip and silicon IP provider. The Lead Member of Technical Staff – Logic Design Engineer brings expertise in embedded hardware development, cryptography, security protocols, and security implementations. A flexible, hybrid work environment encourages onsite collaboration three days a week.
Responsibilities
Design and implementation of complex secure silicon IPs.
Planning: lead other digital designers, manage projects, estimate cost.
Architecture: design block specifications, document requirements, foster innovative ideas and patents.
Implementation: RTL design, lint, CDC analysis, synthesis, IP release.
Verification: collaborate with verification team on planning, simulation, debugging, formal verification, and prepare technical reviews and product documentation.
Flow and methodology: contribute to flow and methodology development and guide Rambus’ technical direction.
Interact with senior technical leaders, product management, sales, and FAE’s to ensure product success.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Hardware Engineering, Computer Science or comparable field.
Eight or more years of experience in the security or chip industry at R&D centers or system laboratories.
In‑depth knowledge of SoC, Silicon IP and/or FPGA logic design flows.
In‑depth knowledge of HDLs (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog) and scripting languages.
Strong understanding of cryptography, security protocols and security implementations.
Good knowledge of verification flows (assertion‑based design, code coverage, functional coverage, test plans).
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts to technical audiences.
Excellent documentation skills in text and drawings.
Beneficial Experience
Familiarity with IP integration, core delivery, and handoff issues.
Ability to work with technical writers to produce documentation.
