Your Role as Customer Solutions & Optimization Lead
Operating from our Rotterdam headquarters, you will be a member of the global Commercial team, working closely with terminals worldwide and our IT organization. You will elevate our customer experience by translating business and customer needs into intuitive digital solutions while driving customer service excellence across our terminal network. Acting as the strategic link between Commercial and Digital, you will guide roadmaps, implement solutions, enable adoption, and ensure value delivery through data, automation, process optimization and connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement customer‑centric digital solutions that enhance service quality and operational efficiency across terminals.
Serve as Product Owner for our customer portal.
Support forward planning processes at terminals, enabled by fit‑for‑purpose tooling and ways of working.
Act as AI Champion for Customer Service Excellence.
Drive Customer Connectivity initiatives to enable seamless integration and an improved customer journey.
Embed a performance‑driven way of working supported by KPI dashboarding.
Partner closely with Terminals Commercial, Digital/IT, and Data teams to land change at pace and at scale.
Track and report adoption and business value; iterate for continuous improvement.
Your Profile
Bachelor’s or Master degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related field.
5+ years of relevant experience; experience in terminals or logistics is a plus.
Certifications in Digital Transformation, Lean, Six Sigma, Process mapping, Change Management or Prince2 are a plus.
Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
Skills & Strengths
Customer solutions & digital platforms (portals, APIs, CRM, KPI dashboarding), delivering customer‑centric designs.
Project management from concept to adoption and continuous improvement.
Process optimization mapping, bottleneck analysis, and scalable improvements.
Digital/data fluency: dashboards & reporting; basic knowledge of integration platforms (APIs/EDI).
Leadership & Style
Adaptive, results‑oriented, and able to bridge business and technology.
Strategic thinker aligning digital initiatives with business value and customer outcomes.
Strong communicator, effective across cultures and levels.
