Full Stack Developer – AI/Healthcare - Up to 115K - South Holland

My client is a fast‑growing company focused on developing AI‑powered speech recognition software that converts real‑time conversations between healthcare providers and patients into structured reports for electronic patient records (EPR). Founded in 2023, they are already the market leader, and their solution is integrated with nearly all standalone healthcare information systems.

Their core product is a web application, but the real complexity lies in the underlying tech. The software listens during doctor–patient consultations and generates a complete report for the EPR. Unlike many competitors, which often are wrappers around Azure, they build their own models, license them through their API, and also power third‑party solutions.

This is a SaaS product sold directly to GPs, with pilots now running in hospitals and municipalities. The team works in a startup style: one software team, company‑wide standups, and no corporate bureaucracy: speed and focus on the big picture are key.

As a Java Developer you will work primarily on the backend but will touch all layers. You will build new features from scratch, develop APIs, and optimise the scalability of the system. This role is 100% hands‑on and you will work closely with other engineers in a fast‑moving environment.

Responsibilities

Build new backend features from scratch.

Develop and maintain APIs.

Optimise system scalability and performance.

Work collaboratively in a startup style environment.

Take ownership of end‑to‑end solution delivery.

Qualifications

Software development experience (4+ years).

Experience building scalable systems and integrating complex APIs.

Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and take ownership.

Background in startup environments and end‑to‑end product ownership.

English documentation skills; Dutch (A2) acceptable with willingness to learn Dutch.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with hardware acceleration for AI workloads.

Experience in SaaS platforms and subscription licensing models.

Interest in AI‑driven technologies (AI model development handled by a separate team).

Offer

Gross annual salary €75 K–€110 K.

Hybrid: 3–4 days in the office.

Yearly contract to start, moving to permanent.

No pension yet (planned for the future). Stock option scheme planned.

Second interview with the CEO.
