INTERIM ROLE: Solution Architect with proven track-record in Dynamics 365 Specifically Finance, SCM and Project Operations NL-based required

As an Interim Solution Architect, you play a key role in redesigning the ERP landscape within an asset-intensive manufacturing environment. You translate strategic principles into a concrete and scalable solution architecture, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (and possibly Project Operations) as the foundation.

The core of the assignment focuses on designing a robust architecture in which serial number and asset creation from production is central. Based on this foundation, a future-proof asset lifecycle is established, clearly defining what is managed within D365 and what is handled in external service or rental platforms. You bring structure, clarity, and technical depth to an environment where pace, decisiveness, and clear choices are essential.

Deliverables:

Design a future-proof solution architecture around Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & SCM (and possibly Project Operations). Design the architecture for serial number and asset creation from production. Design a central asset lifecycle structure (BOM, inventory dimensions, serial tracking, installed base). Define data ownership and master data governance around assets. Determine system boundaries between D365 and external service or rental platforms. Design integration patterns between ERP and external Field Service / FSM solutions. Advise on functional and technical capabilities within D365 F&O/SCM. Act as a sparring partner for the Enterprise Architect, IT, and business stakeholders. Contribute to setting up an ERP/Platform governance and Center of Excellence structure. Deliver High-Level and Detailed Solution Designs, including roadmap advice.

We are looking for someone with:

Proven experience as a Solution Architect within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / SCM. In-depth knowledge of production, supply chain, and asset management within D365. Experience with serial number management, inventory dimensions, BOM structures, and lifecycle modeling. Experience with integrations between D365 F&O and external service or FSM platforms. Experience in asset-intensive environments (machinery, installations, capital goods). Knowledge of Project Operations is a plus. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate business challenges into concrete ERP solutions. Preferably available full-time and able to start at short notice. Willingness to work in a hybrid setup (Central Netherlands region). Excellent command of Dutch and/or English. AI-savvy: able to strategically incorporate AI capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem (such as Copilot, data analytics, and automation) into architectural decisions.
