Main Purpose of the Job We are seeking a Senior Peptide Product Specialist to join our Custom Peptide Department. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the preparation of complex peptide quotations. Key Responsibilities Design price-competitive synthetic strategies for complex peptide enquiries aligned with synthetic capabilities and strategic direction using experience, scientific literature and research databases/platforms. Accurately produce and deliver complex peptide quotations for custom peptide customers in a timely manner. Assist with the preparation of proposals for GMP projects as needed. Liaise with customers to translate enquiries (structures, scientific references) into unambiguous deliverables (for client and production team). Coordinate quotation timelines and specifications with production teams as needed. Supervise and provide ongoing training to junior team members to ensure they deliver accurate quotations for complex peptides. Identify and manage process improvements for complex peptide quoting process. Prioritise workload and collaborate with other team members to ensure customer needs are dealt with in a timely and professional manner. Help to bring business opportunities to fruition and develop long-term relationships by focusing on the unique key success factors of each customer. Engage and include the sales team when appropriate to strengthen the customer relationship. Other tasks & duties related to job – and behavior performance Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. Employee works in accordance with the installed ISO 9001 quality system and, if applicable, works in accordance with GMP-API. Essential Candidate Requirements MSc in chemistry or similar with good working experience in peptide synthesis. Strong knowledge of peptide chemistry (solid and solution phase) Excellent oral and written communication skills (English). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ; attention to detail Knowledge of common and specialist software such as Microsoft Office, Sci-Finder, chemical drawing software. Relationship building skills Commercial drive. Results driven. Excellent interpersonal skills. Team player Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Positive approach to solve customer queries efficiently. Desirable Candidate Requirements PhD in peptide chemistry Experience in a commercial environment. Experience with(in) a CRO/CDMO environment.
