Electrical Specialist

to work on critical infrastructure projects that directly support the shift to a more sustainable energy landscape.

The Role As an Electrical Specialist, you’ll be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of medium- and high-voltage installations (ranging from 10kV to 150kV and beyond). You will work on substations, power transformers, switchgear, cable infrastructure, and protection systems. Whether you’re connecting renewable energy sources to the grid or performing critical maintenance to ensure network reliability, your work has a direct impact on a sustainable energy future.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team of specialists, often working on location across the Netherlands. The role includes hands-on work, but also close coordination with engineers, planners, and safety officers. You’ll be empowered to make a real difference, not just technically, but environmentally.

This is You You are a qualified and safety-focused technician with a background in high-voltage electrical systems. You have a strong work ethic, are excited by fieldwork, and have experience working in or around substations or grid infrastructure.

You have: A completed MBO (EQF level 3 or 4) in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field 2+ years of experience working with medium- and high-voltage installations (10kV–150kV) Experience with switching operations, power transformers, and/or GIS/air-insulated switchgear Familiarity with Dutch NEN standards or European equivalents is a plus A valid VCA certificate (or willingness to obtain one) A good command of English (Dutch is a plus) A valid EU passport or residence permit
