Area Lead Back-end & Creator Foundation

Als Area Lead Back‑end & Creator Foundation ben je verantwoordelijk voor het vormgeven en uitvoeren van de strategie die Rabobank’s backend engineering foundation en Creator experience naar een hoger niveau tilt. Samen met je team zorg je ervoor dat honderden teams binnen alle product tribes in CPO en Retail NL Tech sneller hoogwaardige user experiences kunnen leveren met een sterke time‑to‑market en lage onderhoudslast. Je geeft leiding aan een area van circa 60 professionals met zes direct reports en bent een belangrijk lid van het leadership team van Tribe Digital Platform.

You & Your role Jouw leiderschap stelt duizenden engineers in staat om impact te maken en beïnvloedt de digitale ervaring van miljoenen klanten. Je helpt de Area om Rabobank’s backend engineering foundation te leveren via het Rabo Online Platform (ROP): een platform met herbruikbare services en componenten waarmee meer dan 150 front‑end en 200+ back‑end squads snel, consistent en veilig digitale oplossingen kunnen bouwen en deployen. Platforms zoals Cerebro en Cloud Foundry leveren herbruikbare back‑end bouwblokken en secure pipelines die productiviteit, betrouwbaarheid en continuïteit op schaal ondersteunen.

We zoeken iemand die onze ROP ‘shop’ met vertrouwen kan leiden. Je hebt een solide begrip van het technische landschap en het deliveryproces (incl. pipelines, YAPL en Cerebro) en kunt dit vertalen naar de behoeften van developers, marketeers en PO’s. Je brengt sterke organisatiesensitiviteit en stakeholdermanagementvaardigheden mee om Area Triangles over verschillende Tribes effectief te alignen en aan te sturen.

Expand standardized backend capabilities to reduce complexity and tech maintenance across all CPO squads.

Ensure developer success by fast providing reliable, controlled and secure building blocks.

Develop high performing teams with a clear focus on outcomes and delivery.

Managing stakeholder relationships across CPO, IT, Architecture and CRO.

Impact millions of customers (internal and external)

Lead an area of ~60 FTE, including six direct reports (product managers & experts)

Translate the Tribe and Retail NL strategy into actionable roadmaps for the back‑end & creator platform area.

Drive the adoption and usages of backend engineering capabilities across Rabobank.

Ensure continuity, security, and reliability across all managed services.

Improve developer success and efficiency by adoption and satisfaction through high quality reusable solutions.

Lead change across tribes and influence senior stakeholders -2/GD-3 levels.

You & Your talent

Experience with Agile leadership and high performing teams.

Proven technical understanding of backend engineering platforms and capabilities.

Affinity with Developer Experience and/or producer role is a plus.

Experience with compliance, risk, and security requirements.

Data‑driven mindset and digital literacy.

Academic education / Master’s level.

You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
