Lead Production

At DRIFT we are looking for a Lead Production to join our team.

As Lead Production at DRIFT you ensure smooth production processes and high‑quality results within set timelines. Sometimes you will coordinate a small team or, during peak periods, manage a larger group of freelancers — but often you will also work independently without a dedicated team. This flexibility is key in our dynamic studio environment.

What You’ll Do

Planning of production in collaboration with the Head of Productions.

Project management of sold artworks or works for exhibition, including coordinating production schedules, allocating resources, and financial management.

Leading and supervising the team of Production assistants, ensuring efficient workflow and adhering to quality standards.

Communication with clients or galleries regarding integration and installation.

Sourcing and ordering parts at competitive prices and ensuring quality with suppliers.

Managing stock and equipment.

Perform assembly, testing, installation, and maintenance of artworks.

Organising assembly and testing work in the studio with a strong emphasis on quality control.

Coordinating and organising on‑site installation in The Netherlands and abroad.

Creating manuals and client documentation to ensure proper usage and maintenance of artworks.

Managing archiving and documentation.

Collaborating with artists, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.

We would love it if you have

You have a technical background (Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or something similar)

You’re hands‑on and don’t shy away from technical challenges.

A quality‑driven and results‑oriented mindset

The ability to stay calm and organised under pressure

Strong delegation skills, while also being hands‑on when needed

Clear and effective communication skills with different stakeholders

The ability to thrive in a flexible environment where you sometimes lead a team and other times work independently

At least 1–2 years of relevant work experience

A valid work permit

Fluency in English, both spoken and written

Nice To Have

A driver’s license
