Job description
Danone is looking for a Category Strategy Manager within Specialized Nutrition (SN Consumer) in the Netherlands. This is a newly created role within the infant nutrition team, designed to strengthen the strategic foundation of the category and ensure long-term growth for leading brands such as Nutrilon and Olvarit. Operating in a highly competitive and regulated FMCG environment, this role sits at the heart of category vision, data analysis and cross-functional alignment. You will define where the infant category is heading over the next three to five years and translate market data, shopper insights and innovation pipelines into a clear and actionable strategic direction. Unlike traditional category roles, this position does not involve direct customer management. Instead, you act as the internal strategic anchor — building the category vision, shaping trade stories and ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing, Insights and Global teams. It is a role for someone who combines analytical depth with structured strategic thinking and enjoys influencing decision-making from within the organisation.

Candidate profile
5+ years of experience within FMCG Retail (Category, Sales, Marketing, Insights or Commercial roles)
Strong analytical capabilities; experience with market data (Circana/Nielsen or comparable tools)
Experience developing category strategies, trade stories or business cases
Comfortable translating data into insights and insights into action
Strong stakeholder management skills within a matrix organisation
Structured, conceptually strong and able to build frameworks
Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong advantage
