Our client is a leading global investment organization with several tens of billions of dollars in assets under management as per September 30, 2024. The majority of these funds are invested globally across private equity and related asset classes, including secondary transactions, while the remainder is invested directly in companies as a co-investor (equity and mezzanine) in Europe, North America, and selected other markets. About the Role
The Senior Accountant – Corporate Accounting reports to the Associate Vice President of Corporate Accounting and is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting for multiple management entities. This position requires a hands-on professional who combines strong accounting knowledge with operational execution, capable of managing complex transactions, month-end closings, and supporting audits. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in process improvements and automation within the department.
Responsibilities
Accounting and Reporting (70%)
Manage and control accounting and reporting activities for various management entities.
Record, validate and reconcile transactions in line with applicable accounting standards (IFRS / Dutch GAAP / US GAAP).
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, including analysis of P&L movements and balance sheet reconciliations.
Review and approve invoices processed by the Accounts Payable team.
Manage revenue recognition and internal/external billing.
Support audit activities (Financial, SOX, ISAE).
Process Improvement and Projects (20%)
Identify opportunities for automation and process efficiency.
Contribute to system enhancements and documentation updates.
Collaborate across teams to strengthen accounting controls.
Collaboration and Development (10%)
Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders (Treasury, Legal, Tax, FP&A).
Share knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Familiarity with IFRS, Dutch GAAP and/or US GAAP.
Strong analytical and conceptual skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with macros or visualization tools is an advantage.
Required Skills
Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, reporting, or controlling.
Experience in private equity, investment management or asset management is considered a strong plus.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Pay range and compensation package
