Critical Environment Technician

Job Profile for Critical Environment Technician Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Work on tasks (e.g., making rounds, initial assessments on equipment performance) assigned with supervision Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work, and comply with all physical security procedures and policies Take daily operational readings of all electrical equipment through routine rounds/log taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.) Follow operating procedures (SOPs) for critical environment planned work activities Energise a cabinet in a Colo Maintain Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) check for prevention quarterly and annually Control the system panel Execute battery preventative maintenance Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work Comply with all physical security procedures and policies Assist in the troubleshooting, repair and replacement of instrument sensors and calibration

Candidate Profile for Critical Environment Technician Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Health and Safety certification is required Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) 3+ year(s) work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g.: automotive, electrical, controls, data centre) Previous datacenter experience is a plus Experience with electrical systems in a high availability assembly/manufacturing/ critical infrastructure environment, such as data centres, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields Able to work 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts with 24/7 coverage, 4 or 5-day work weeks
