Systems Engineer (Senior / Lead)

Systems Engineers Can you turn complex requirements into clean, testable systems, and enjoy leading others to do the same?

We are looking for Senior and Lead Systems Engineers to drive Systems Engineering across large offshore-energy, maritime and infrastructure EPC projects. You'll apply Requirements Management, V&V, Risk Management and MBSE (SysML) to deliver robust, integrated solutions and raise SE maturity across projects.

Task & responsibilities:

For both Senior & Lead

Implement and govern SE processes from tender to commissioning (per ISO 15288).

Build, maintain and expand the requirements database (e.g., Relatics/DOORS) with full traceability and change control.

Define V&V strategies, plans and evidence, lead reviews and acceptance activities.

Run risk workshops (FMEA/FTA), track mitigations and manage interfaces across disciplines.

Create/Maintain SysML models (architecture, allocations, interfaces, sequences) to align teams.

Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, civil and software disciplines to ensure system-level integration.

Senior Systems Engineer

Own end-to-end requirements and V&V for medium/large EPC work packages.

Lead cross-disciplinary technical reviews and resolve complex system issues.

Mentor junior/medior engineers in MBSE and SE best practices.

Lead Systems Engineer

Define and refine SE strategy, templates and playbooks, champion continuous improvement.

Oversee the SE portfolio across projects, from concept reviews through commissioning.

Lead a small SE team (planning, coaching, QA) and represent SE in client/partner meetings and proposals.

Ensure consistency and quality of SE outputs across programs.

Requirements

BSc or MSc in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer/Software Engineering or similar.

Senior: 7+ years in Systems Engineering on multidisciplinary EPC/offshore/infra projects with demonstrated leadership in requirements and V&V.

Lead: 10+ years including SE strategy, team leadership and direct client engagement.

Proven experience with a requirements platform (e.g., Relatics, DOORS) and MBSE/SysML (Cameo, Enterprise Architect).

Strong background in V&V, risk analysis (FMEA, FTA) and system test planning.

Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 15288, IEC 61508, DNV) and heavy-industrial/offshore contexts

Excellent communication in English (Dutch is a plus!): structured, analytical and solutions-oriented.

Collaborative attitude: able to engage in multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders in a matrix environment
