to join our team at AirHub and help us build mission-critical systems for drones that support emergency response operations.

Our Product At the heart of our platform is the Drone Operations Center — a web-based interface where users can plan and manage missions, control active flights, view real-time video streams, and share those streams with multiple stakeholders, such as emergency teams on the ground. From planning and execution to logging, all in one place. Key features include remote drone fleet control, live video streaming, AI-powered object detection, and support for fully autonomous flights. Next to the web app we also have an Android app, designed to run on drone remote controllers. This mobile component allows pilots to directly control flights and stream data in real time to our platform.

Our team Currently Airhub counts 20 employees of which 10 are part of the dev team. It’s a remote first start-up environment with a tight-knit group of engineers who care deeply about the impact of our work. Aside from the interesting technical challenges and the positive impact on society, the domain that we work in is a lot of fun. We actually have team outings where we take big ass drones with camera gimbals on them with us and fly missions with them!

You will be joining a cross-functional product team consisting of Software Engineers, a Tester, a Product Owner and an Integration Consultant. As our first dedicated Frontend Engineer, you’ll take full ownership of frontend engineering at Airhub. This role goes beyond a single project — you’ll be responsible for defining how our Frontend is built across the company, setting standards, and guiding the team in best practices.

You will:

Lead the frontend rewrite

— rebuild our Drone Operations Center to work with the new backend architecture while keeping the interface familiar to trained users.

Shape technology decisions

— drive choices around frameworks and tooling, including a potential migration to React.

Build mission-critical features

— develop interfaces for mission planning, flight control, live video streaming, and real-time telemetry.

Set engineering standards

— define best practices for state management, session handling, testing, and code quality.

Make architectural decisions

— you’re empowered to do things the right way and establish the foundation for all frontend work.

Mentor the team

— guide junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and pair programming.

We use cutting-edge technology in our projects:

Frontend : TypeScript, Vue.js

Database : Our own custom built graph database

What will make me successful in this role:

Senior-level frontend experience (Vue or React) — you know your frontend, know how to do things right, and can implement best practices

Experience owning and maintaining large-scale web applications

Ability to make architectural decisions and set frontend standards

Strong understanding of frontend testing and ability to establish testing standard

Experience working in a cross-functional (fully remote) Agile team

Backend development experience (Node.js/TypeScript) — helps with API integration

Experience mentoring and coaching junior developers
