ABOUT THE TEAM You will be part of the Digital Engineering domain that owns the Climate Tech and Originate platforms, which power all supply‑and‑demand‑side touchpoints at STX.

Our domain’s mission is to make every counterparty interaction fully self‑serve and delightful by removing operational burden and unlocking the next phase of STX’s growth. We design and deliver systems where complex workflows feel simple, intuitive, and reliable; so counterparties experience STX as the trusted default for trading and originating with.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Architect and design core systems: You are hands‑on during implementation, helping service teams bootstrap maintainable, scalable systems and guiding them through technical decisions and trade‑offs.

Drive resilient, scalable design: You make the hard trade‑offs and present them as clear choices, ensuring systems are both robust and future‑proof.

Turn ambiguity into clarity: Work across teams and functions to align on shared goals, translating unclear ideas into solid technical concepts.

Full‑stack experience with breadth: You work comfortably across the stack—including infrastructure as code, and have a general understanding of data engineering concepts.

Collaborate across the business: Partner with Trading, Legal, Risk, and Ops to deliver thoughtful, well‑architected solutions to real‑world challenges.

Elevate and innovate: Mentor others, set architectural standards, and embrace emerging technologies (including LLMs) to improve workflows and push the boundaries of individual impact.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

10+ years in software development within product‑led companies, ideally in fintech or B2B SaaS at scale.

Strong in TypeScript for modern frontend development, with solid backend experience in Python and Node.js.

Deep hands‑on experience with AWS, serverless architectures, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (CDK/Terraform)

Experience with event‑driven systems (Kinesis/Kafka) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)

Proven track record in architectural leadership, defining standards, and mentoring teams

Strong systems thinking, excellent communication, and ability to operate effectively in ambiguity
