Field Service Engineer

to join our great team in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will provide service and support for all Analysers and Systems.

The successful candidate must be fluent in Dutch and English (business level) and have full authorization to work in the Netherlands on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

Service, repair and commission all Servomex products to ensure that the company’s reputation is maintained and enhanced through exceeding expectations and delighting customers.

Carry out FAT and SAT of systems.

Actively be involved with quoting service activities and pursuing potential business.

Provide assistance with technical sales enquiries for Servomex products and help make our customers aware of the advantages of maintenance contracts.

Complete repair, service and commissioning reports and any other required documentation.

Ensure that Servomex equipment meets the relevant health and safety and local safety requirements and, if not, ensure the customer accepts responsibility.

Communicate with relevant departments concerning problems with Servomex equipment and customer requirements using quality and customer complaint procedures.

Provide assistance with systems testing and build to the Systems Engineering department to ensure that systems meet the required performance and specification prior to shipment.

Participate in Customer Service improvement initiatives as required by the Service Manager.

Travel required throughout Benelux & Germany and occasionally other European countries – flexibility is required.

Participation in forecasting and service planning calls.

Other duties and responsibilities as required by the business.

Essential Skills and Experience

Flexibility to travel around the Netherlands (with some travel to Belgium) and occasionally the EMEA region.

Dutch and English (written and spoken).

Full clean driving licence.

A proven track record of working as a Field Service Engineer (or closely related) repairing instrumentation as well as installing and troubleshooting.

Strong electronic and instrumentation background.

Experienced in providing various levels of customer training.

Ability to build strong working relationships with customers.

Experienced in working within the following industries – oil and gas, industrial gases, and/or semiconductor.

Experience in start‑up, commissioning, FAT, SAT.

Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Experienced in working remotely with minimum supervision – and willingness and motivation to do so.

Achieved the VCA‑VOL certificate or are willing to obtain this.

Essential Qualifications

Technical degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related subject/discipline.

Salary: €45,000 to €65,000 base, plus bonus, plus car, plus excellent benefits.
