DB2 DBA Specialist

To strengthen the Mainframe Platform Team within a government organization, we are looking for an experienced DB2 Database Administrator who derives energy from managing, optimizing, and future-proofing DB2 databases on IBM z/OS. You will play a key role in both daily management and modernization projects of the crucial basic administration system AA. Responsibilities

Daily management of DB2 databases (z/OS), including performance tuning, data model changes, patching, and data migrations Supporting application development and integration of external data Collaborating with DevOps teams within an Agile work environment Collaborating on a future-proof database landscape and modernization projects Rotating standby shifts (by arrangement) Our client plays a key role in the Dutch public sector, delivering essential financial services to people across the country. Minimum 5 years of experience as a DBA in complex DB2 (z/OS) environments Thorough knowledge of SQL and affinity with mainframe infrastructure Experience with tooling such as JIRA, SharePoint, RTC, ID/z, and EDW is a plus Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, REXX, CICS, MQ, or DB2 OPTIM is a plus Team player with high analytical ability and strong communication skills Good written and verbal proficiency in Afrikaans Job offer
