About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join our team for a 12-month freelance engagement in Eindhoven. This role focuses on supporting and improving production processes within a highly regulated medical device environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence, troubleshoot issues on the manufacturing floor, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Champion safety, quality, and compliance in all manufacturing activities. Provide hands-on support on the production floor, addressing technical issues and deviations promptly. Analyze production performance and implement improvements to enhance yield and efficiency. Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation in line with GMP and ISO13485 standards. Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving tools and Lean methodologies. Plan and execute engineering studies, including validation and verification protocols, and report findings. Collaborate with R\&D, Quality Assurance, and Operations to optimize processes and equipment selection. Drive continuous improvement through value stream mapping, capability studies, and process optimization.

Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field). Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role within a regulated environment (medical devices preferred). Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing, and problem-solving methodologies. Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab). Hands-on approach with excellent communication and collaboration skills. Fluent in English (verbal and written). Desired: Experience with GMP/GXP fundamentals. LEAN Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification. xjpvoyz Familiarity with high-precision machining processes.
