Service Solutions Architect

Role Overview
Our warehouse automation solutions power global supply chains and support mission-critical operations around the world. As a
Service Solution Architect , you take ownership of the complete IT/OT landscape for a portfolio of customers, ensuring stable, secure, and future-proof operations throughout the service lifecycle.
You act as the technical authority and trusted advisor for your assigned accounts (typically 2–4 customers, ranging from large enterprises to smaller organizations). Rather than executing all hands-on activities yourself, you orchestrate delivery, guide technical direction, and ensure that internal teams and customer stakeholders are aligned.
This role combines architectural oversight, governance, stakeholder management, and strong consultative skills.
Key Responsibilities
As the technical lead for your customer portfolio, you:
Maintain a helicopter view of the full IT/OT solution landscape at customer sites.
Take accountability for the technical solution, including implementation quality, changes, validation, testing, and documentation.
Ensure smooth project-to-service handovers, guaranteeing that solutions are successfully transferred to the service organization.
Oversee major incident, problem, and change management processes.
Participate in the Change Control Board (CCB), ensuring all changes are internally validated before customer implementation.
Coordinate internal teams (e.g., service desk, engineers, specialists) and delegate hands-on activities where required.
Align technical execution with customer business objectives and operational expectations.
Develop, maintain, and regularly update Business Continuity Plans together with internal and external stakeholders.
Drive lifecycle improvements, optimizations, and controlled release management decisions for your customers.
Proactively assess risks and safeguard system stability and performance.
Critically challenge customer requests to uncover the real underlying need (“the question behind the question”), ensuring solutions genuinely solve the right problem.
Your Profile
You are a technically strong and strategically minded professional who thrives in complex, business-critical environments. You combine architectural thinking with strong interpersonal skills and a consultative mindset.
We are looking for someone with:
5+ years of experience in IT/OT environments with direct customer interaction (e.g., system integration, testing, infrastructure, or software delivery in mission-critical environments).
A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a comparable technical field.
Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).
The ability to perform under pressure, particularly during escalations or major incidents.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to operate on both strategic and detailed levels.
Working knowledge of IT Service Management frameworks (ITIL4 certification is a plus).
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to listen carefully and ask the right questions.
A consultative mindset: comfortable challenging assumptions and clarifying expectations before defining solutions.
