Staff Machine Learning Engineer — AI Research & Prototyping We are partnered with the world-renowned AI research lab of a globally leading semiconductor company. The team is looking to hire a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to bridge the gap between theoretical research and embedded reality. In this role you will implement state-of-the-art algorithms, conduct large-scale experiments, and optimize models for deployment on billions of edge devices.

This is a permanent working opportunity based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Key responsibilities for this Staff Machine Learning Engineer position:

Transition research prototypes into robust, commercial-grade software for embedded platforms.

Evaluate and optimize GenAI workflows for accuracy and performance on-device.

Apply advanced techniques such as quantization, pruning, and algebraic optimization for hardware cores.

Work across Python/PyTorch stacks while ensuring high-quality C++ implementation for Android and embedded targets.

Key requirements:

PhD or MS in CS, EE, or Robotics.

Proven experience training deep neural networks and improving training pipelines.

Solid understanding of C++, the Android platform, and hardware-level optimization.

Comfortable with fast iteration, TDD, and multi-site collaboration.
