Lead Electrical Engineer

Role Summary As Lead Electrical Engineer you will take ownership of the electrical engineering scope for a major data centre delivery, from design coordination through procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover. You will act as the primary technical authority on site and lead electrical teams, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Electrical Engineering scope across all project phases — design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning. Provide technical leadership and decision-making on electrical systems including LV/HV power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, earthing & bonding, containment and BMS/EMS interfaces. Coordinate electrical design outputs with mechanical, structural and architectural disciplines to ensure integrated and buildable solutions. Review and approve technical deliverables: drawings, specifications, method statements, RFIs and change requests. Work closely with electrical subcontractors, specialist vendors and suppliers to drive quality, compliance and delivery standards. Support testing and commissioning phases, including oversight of FAT, SAT and integrated system testing through to final handover. Ensure adherence to project specifications, local regulations and industry standards (including European & International codes). Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients, project teams and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle

Typical Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar. Typically 8+ years’ experience in electrical engineering roles on data centre or mission-critical construction projects. Proven experience leading electrical engineering deliverables and teams. Solid knowledge of power distribution systems (LV/MV), UPS, generators, switchgear, earthing and BMS/EMS interfaces. Strong communication skills in Dutch Experience with technical reviews, design coordination and stakeholder liaison.
