Marketing Operations Specialist (GTM Engineer)

About Cargoplot Cargoplot is building the infrastructure for modern freight forwarding. We work with ambitious logistics teams that want to scale and improve control over operations, margins, and customer experience.

To support our next phase of growth, we are looking for a Marketing Operation Specialist who can take full ownership of our marketing operations, and build systems with tangible business impact.

Role Summary This is a foundational role for a hands-on builder who sees a blank canvas as an opportunity to step up and build something powerful. As the first ops hire on our marketing team, you won’t just manage HubSpot - you will help build our entire GTM engine. If we build this right, this GTM stack will support 5x growth in 2026, and will be the case study for your career.

Key Responsibilities HubSpot Architecture & CRM Hygiene:

Take ownership of our HubSpot instance. Configure data models and build nurturing workflows. Advanced Automation & Orchestration:

Extend Hubspot’s capabilities by connecting tools that don't natively talk to each other, and create seamless API data flows between our product, CRM, and enrichment tools. Lead Scoring, Routing & Enrichment:

Implement automated routing logic that delivers leads to SDRs with the right context, ensuring no opportunity falls through the cracks. Full-Funnel Reporting:

Build the first generation of dashboards in HubSpot. You won't just track leads; you will track revenue attribution. You will help us answer the question: "Which campaigns are actually driving closed deals?"

Must-Have Qualifications Deep, Hands-On HubSpot Expertise:

Non-negotiable. You must have experience building out a HubSpot instance. You know the difference between a Workflow and a Sequence, and you know the limits of the native HubSpot API. Automation Mastery:

You are highly proficient in AI coding (Codex/Claude Code) or automation platforms like n8n, Make, or Zapier. You understand nodes, branching logic, loops, and error handling. Technical Fluency (APIs & Data):

You understand how to read API documentation, send GET/POST requests, and parse JSON data. Sales Process Understanding:

You understand how a B2B sales process works, and you understand the value of tailoring data flows to an organization to create a well-oiled GTM engine. Proven "Builder" Experience:

You have a track record of creating systems from scratch. You can explain a time you used a webhook to solve a problem a native integration couldn't handle.
