Our team operates in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where speed, quality, and continuous improvement matter every single day.
We are entering a major growth phase, expanding production capacity, implementing advanced systems, and scaling both our internal brands and private label partnerships. This is an opportunity to join a company where your engineering impact will be visible, measurable, and mission-critical.
Position Overview
If you thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment and want to help build scalable systems inside a rapidly growing nutraceutical operation, this role offers the chance to make a real difference.All-In Nutritionals is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer to drive production efficiency, equipment optimization, and scalable product execution within our nutraceutical manufacturing facility.
This is a production-focused engineering role centered on how formulations move through commercial-scale manufacturing equipment. The primary responsibility of this position is ensuring that new and existing dietary supplement products flow efficiently, consistently, and reliably through blending, encapsulation, powder filling, liquid processing, gummy, and packaging systems.
This role works alongside R&D and Quality teams but is fundamentally process-engineering driven. While the position may assist in pilot batching and scale-up validation, it is not a lab-based R&D role. It is a manufacturing execution and optimization role.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with commercial nutraceutical manufacturing equipment and understands how formulation behavior directly impacts machinery performance, throughput, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Process Engineering & Equipment Optimization
Serve as the primary process engineering lead for new and existing formulations entering production
Evaluate how formulas behave during blending, encapsulation, powder filling, liquid processing, and other production operations
Run pilot and validation batches prior to full production runs
Adjust, optimize, and dial in machinery settings to improve throughput, consistency, and repeatability
Identify and eliminate production bottlenecks
Improve line efficiency, material flow, and changeover performance
Ensure processes are stable, repeatable, and scalable before full commercial production
Remain engaged during initial production runs of new products until fully validated
Work directly on the production floor to troubleshoot equipment, formulation, or mechanical performance challenges
Continuously evaluate production data to improve output and reduce waste
Cross-Functional Support (R&D & Quality – Secondary Focus)
Collaborate with R&D during product development to ensure formulas are designed for manufacturability
Provide feedback regarding flowability, compressibility, blending performance, and equipment compatibility
Assist with scale-up validation and process refinement
Support Quality in maintaining NSF cGMP compliance and documentation standards
Help refine SOPs to reflect validated, production-ready processes
Documentation & Systems
Develop clear, step-by-step process documentation for manufacturing execution
Enter and refine formula and process workflows in Mar-Kov ERP
Ensure all process parameters are documented for repeatability, scalability, and training
Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Contract Manufacturing Support
Support pilot production and validation for contract manufacturing customers
Troubleshoot process-related customer inquiries
Ensure smooth transition from R&D development into full-scale commercial production
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Food Science, or related technical field, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience
Deep understanding of the operational nuances of nutraceutical and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, including how ingredient characteristics (flowability, hygroscopicity, oil content, particle size, excipient interaction) impact machine performance and throughput
Demonstrated hands-on experience operating and optimizing commercial-scale manufacturing equipment
Strong understanding of powder flow dynamics, blending performance, encapsulation behavior, liquid processing, and production throughput
Proven ability to diagnose and correct formulation or equipment-related production inefficiencies
Comfort working directly in a manufacturing environment
Strong documentation and communication skills
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
Ability to work full-time, on-site in Springfield, Ohio
Preferred
2+ years of experience in nutraceutical, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Deep familiarity with blending systems, encapsulators, tablet presses, powder fillers, liquid processing systems, gummy equipment, and packaging lines
Experience scaling formulas from pilot to commercial production
Strong mechanical troubleshooting aptitude
Experience with ERP systems, especially Mar-Kov - strong technical aptitude
Understanding of NSF cGMP manufacturing environments
Personal Attributes
Process-minded and systems-oriented
Calm and solution-focused under production pressure
Strong ownership mentality
Focused on efficiency, throughput, and quality
Confident working independently with manual and commercial-scale production machinery and making real-time equipment adjustments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Driven to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Why This Role Matters
This role is critical to increasing production capacity, minimizing startup delays, reducing bottlenecks, and improving overall manufacturing consistency.
By strengthening the bridge between R&D and production through process engineering leadership, this position directly impacts product scalability, customer satisfaction, and operational growth.
This is not a lab-only R&D role. It is a manufacturing-focused engineering position centered on equipment performance and production optimization.
Growth Opportunity
With over 150 unique formulas manufactured in-house, this role offers significant upward career potential as operations scale.
This position will serve as a key technical leader within our manufacturing and process engineering division, with clear opportunity for compensation growth as performance and responsibility expand.
