Role Description Senior Bioprocess / Manufacturing Engineer (Founding Hire) Expora | Frederick, Maryland | On-site | Full-time

We’re hiring a senior-level founding

team member: a hands-on bioprocess leader who wants meaningful ownership, growth potential, and the opportunity to build and own the manufacturing and quality systems that Expora will scale around.

This full-time, on-site role is based in Frederick, MD. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for BEV production in close collaboration with the CSO. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting and improving existing systems, collaborating with teams to enhance product quality, and scaling manufacturing processes to commercial scale. This role also involves ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, producing technical documentation, and contributing to innovative strategies for scaling production.

50–500 L fed-batch bioreactors Design and execute process development / R&D , analyze data, and implement process improvements Author SOPs, batch records, and core QMS workflows
