CNC Operator

Requirements and Experience Grade 12 Certificate Computer literacy, especially in Word and Excel. Experience using CAD software is a pre-requisite, especially Rhino. Previous experience operating A 5- Axis Thermwood CNC machines will be beneficial Good health and physically fit to assist in loading and unloading materials from the CNC table. Willingness to learn new software and skills Good problem-solving skills. Demonstrate sound work ethics Duties and responsibilities You will be responsible for operating and maintaining a 5-Axis Thermwood CNC machine. Cutting would be mostly for sacrificial moulds, templates, and jigs for various departments. General admin duties would be to maintain your filing system, keep a record of materials and consumables and manage job cards. CNC work would include preparing models for CNC, generating toolpaths, cutting parts, verifying, and checking dimensions of cut parts. Assembly, bonding, and vacuum bagging would be required for larger parts. You may be required to work overtime or on weekends from time to time and assist the department with other tasks.
